Pink Pamper Bubble Ball and Hair Enhancements of Pittsburgh

The Carnegie Science Center on the North Shore was bubbling with fun, food and girlfriends of all ages who came to support The Pink Pamper’s HaLo Fund at the inaugural Bubble Ball on Friday night.

The HaLo Fund supports women with medical-related hair loss due to cancer treatments. More than 200 guests at the event donated to the cause by bidding on silent auction packages and more than 30 auction baskets. WTAE-TV’s Ashley Dougherty emceed the evening’s events and brought along some of her gal pals, including Kelly Frey, who has been open about her own breast cancer.

After grazing on the buffet, guests showed off their best moves — thanks to DJ Mike Wozniak — and only left the dance floor to shop from an array of on-site vendors, ham it up in the photo booth or try out the liquid nitrogen smoothie bar. “This night was all about women — and girls — helping other women. Watching the different generations come together to raise awareness and funds for others impacted by the financial hardship of cancer was inspiring,” says Debbie Mancuso, whose business, Hair Enhancements of Pittsburgh, works with the Pink Pamper and Magee-Womens Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC, to connect the HaLo Fund with those in need of assistance for hair replacement. More than $10,000 was raised.

Event chairs Jennine Blyth and Stephanie Drenning; Marian Geisler, Lea Ann Rattigan, Sue Deitz, Fran Ruppen; Laura Kronk, Michelle Roney, Dee Dee Troutman, Anne Finn, Sarah Tuthill, Liz Guzman, Kelsie Boring, Janelle Hall and Bofta Yimam.
